Nicodemus

Nicodemus met Jesus in secret that night
A Pharisee and a ruler of the Jews
But he wanted to know what’s right
He said, “I believe you’ve come from God
For these miracles can’t be of men.”
Then Jesus said, “Nicodemus, you must be born again!”

For God so loved the world
That he gave his only begotten Son
That whosoever believes in him
Should not perish but have everlasting life

Nicodemus said, “To be born again,
O how can these things be?”
But Jesus said, “The Spirit sees what
Eyes of flesh can’t see.
The sin of all mankind will make me
Drink the bitter cup;
As the serpent in the wilderness
Must I be lifted up.”
